Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital Unveils In Honour of the Ones We Love Giving Tree
WINDSOR, ON Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital today celebrated the official unveiling and launch of the In Honour of the Ones We Love Giving Tree program at a special event. The Giving Tree provides individuals, groups and organizations an opportunity to make donations that positively impact the care HDGH provides to our patients and at the same time leave a lasting legacy. The establishment of the tree was made possible through the generous donation of the In Honour of the Ones We Love organization.
Anita Imperioli, founder of In Honour of the Ones We Love wanted to do something to support Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital. She had erected similar trees at Hospice and at Windsor Regional Hospital which have raised significant dollars for those organizations and thought HDGH might benefit from one as well. "We were thrilled to be a recipient of a Giving Tree from this extraordinary organization," states HDGH Board Chair Egidio Sovran.
With a donation to the Giving Tree, donors can make an enduring tribute in memory, in honour, or in appreciation of a loved one. Dr. Sharon Doyle, a Hospitalist at HDGH has chosen to be among the first supporters of the Giving Tree through the purchase of a leaf in honour of her parents - Ted and Connie Doyle. John Fairley, Foundation Board member, is another individual who spoke at the event and purchased a leaf in honour of his mother Lois Fairley. Both Dr. Doyle and Mr. Fairley urged others to join them by purchasing a leaf in memory, in honour or in appreciation of a loved one.
