Obituary of Maria Maceroni

MACERONI Maria (nee Lombardi)
November 16, 1931 to August 27, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria with her loving family by her side at Hospice of Windsor at 90 years of age.

Reunited with her beloved husband Rocco Maceroni (2008). Cherished mother of Anita Imperioli (Sergio) and James Maceroni.

Proud grandmother "Nonetta" to Tina Caviedes (Chris), Laura Imperioli (Fabio Petrilli) and the late Michael Imperioli (1981).

Great grandmother to Angelina, Alessia, Michael, Marco and Matthew.

Maria was the eldest daughter of the late Arduino and Margherita Lombardi and the daughter in-law to the late Celestina and Francesco Maceroni.

Dear sister of the late Arcangelo Lombardi (Pasqualina), Domenico Lombardi (lolanda), Assunta DiFazio (Felice), Vincenzo Lombardi (Linda). Sister in-law of the late Giuseppe Maceroni (Angela) and Giovanni Maceroni (lole).

Maria will be missed by many nieces and nephews from Canada, USA and Italy.

Maria immigrated from Ceprano Italy in 1951 with her husband Rocco and established a beautiful life in Canada. She retired as housekeeper from Hotel Dieu Hospital after 32 years.

Maria's greatest pride were the moments she spent with her family, never missing the chance to gather and cook a big Sunday dinner.  Maria was a wonderful woman who left a legacy of love to all who knew her with so many memories held dear to our hearts.

A special thank you to Dolce Vita Retirement Home (Tony, Franca and Staff) for the compassionate care given to Maria over the past 7 years. As well, Hospice of Windsor for your exceptional individual care that Maria received in her last month of life. The staff and volunteers of Dolce Vita and Hospice will never be forgotten for the kindness, care and compassion shown towards Maria.
