Passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 20, 2025 at the age of 85 years at Hudson Manor. Formerly of Belle River. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Claude Crevier (2017). Loving mother of Ginette Pinsonneault (Joe), Marc Crevier (Sheri) and the late Nancy Thorpe (2017) (Jeff). Cherished Grandmaman to David, Lianne (Eric), Madison, Stephane, Marissa, Dominique (2007), Alysse and great-grandmaman to Lyv, Tye, Aurora and Lyric. Predeceased by sister Jacqueline Lacasse (late Ron) and brother Yvon Hetherington (Beatrice). Louisette will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends at Hudson Manor. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hudson Manor for their care and compassion shown to our mother. Louisette always made herself available to watch her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s activities. She was an avid seamstress, worked as a PSW at Tilbury Manor for 12 years and was a dedicated Montreal Canadiens fan. Louisette and Claude moved from Magog, Quebec in 1964 to Windsor, Ontario and dedicated themselves to adjusting to life in Essex County which included learning to speak and write in English; which she was very proud of.
Visiting will be held at Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St. Belle River 226-909-6729) on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Louisette’s life will be held at Melady Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow.
