In Loving Memory of Giuliana D’Agostini (née Recchia)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuliana D’Agostini. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, business owner, and friend.

Born in Casalvieri, Frosinone, Italy, Giuliana and Ernesto came to Canada to build a life and pursue their dreams. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, Giuliana made her dream of owning a business a reality with Giuliana Housewares & Gifts, a store she proudly owned and loved for 46 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ernesto (2009), with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and devotion, we take comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

She was the beloved mother of Franca (Tony) Conciatori, Sandra (Glenn) Gebauer, and Sam (Julie) D’Agostini. She was a proud and devoted Nonna to Christian and Jenna Conciatori, Alexander and Noah Gebauer and Liliana, Marcus, and Gabriella D’Agostini who brought endless joy to her life.

Anyone who knew Giuliana knew that Nonna’s kitchen was always open. Whether you stopped by for an espresso, a meal, or simply a visit, you were welcomed with love, good food, and a place at the table. Her home was the heart of many family gatherings, where stories were shared, traditions were passed down, and memories were made.
Giuliana was predeceased by her parents, Mose and Maria Recchia; her siblings Onorio (Rosina), Giovanni (Ada), Giovanna (Onorio), and Domenica (Alfredo); her parents-in-law, Salvatore and Santa D’Agostini; and her siblings-in-law Maria, Adelina (Nicola), Onorio, and Antonio (Maria). She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Dolce Vita Retirement Living, The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, and Dr. Chaker and his team for their compassionate care and support. A special thank you to her dear friends Elsa Muscedere, Teresa DiPonio, Maria and Emilio Fallone for their continued love, friendship, and unwavering support throughout the years.

Giuliana will be remembered for her strength, generosity, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She took great pride in her family, her business, and the community she was so proud to be a part of.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.

If you so desire, donations in memory of Giuliana may be made to the Hospice of Windsor Essex or In Honour Of The Ones We Love. Visitation will take place at the Janisse Funeral Home (1139 Ouellette Ave 226-799-4730) on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 2pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm, parish prayers at 5pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 10am until time of funeral procession to St. Angela Merici Church for 11am Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
